Training

Successful completion of a range of biosafety training programs may be required prior to the initiation of your work at Mississippi State University. Please review the following table for information on required training.

Training is available on-line through myState via Canvas. Live training is done by request and can be customized to your particular situation. Contact the biosafety officer at 662-325-0620 or biosafety@research.msstate.edu for details.

Instructions for self-enrollment into Canvas through myState.

  1. Log into myState using your netID, password and 2-Factor Authentication
  2. Scroll to 'Classroom'
  3. On landing page, locate 'Self-Enrolled Courses' drop-down menu on far right-hand margin
  4. Scroll through courses and select required course
  5. Click slider to confirm enrollment
  6. Click the 'Canvas' link on the 'Classroom' page to verify course has been added to your Canvas course listing.

Please contact the biosafety office at 662-325-0620 or biosafety@research.msstate.edu with any questions regarding enrollment. If you require a manual enrollment, be sure to have your NetID.
